Incident Report – MySIPcity App
Posted: 4 December 2025
Status: Fix in review with Apple
Affected: iOS 17/18 users only

What’s happening
Some iOS users are missing incoming calls — the phone either shows no ringing screen at all or the call immediately goes to voicemail.

Who’s affected
Only happens on iPhones running iOS 17/18 when the MySIPcity app is fully closed or in the background. Android, desktop, and iPhones with the app already open are not affected.

Why it’s happening
Apple changed the way iOS iOS 17/18 wakes up apps for faster starts. For VoIP apps like ours, this new behaviour can start the app multiple times for the same incoming call, which confuses the system and blocks the call from ringing properly.

What we’re doing
We have completed and fully tested a fix that recognises and ignores these duplicate wake-ups. The updated app has been submitted to Apple for review.

When it will be fixed
The new version (5.4.0) will be available in the App Store within the next 56 hours — no later than end of day Saturday, 6 December 2025.

Once you update, incoming calls will ring normally again.
We sincerely apologise for the missed calls and are doing everything possible to get this fix released as quickly as Apple allows.
We’ll update this page the moment version 5.4.0 is live.
